Bangkok Airways Earns Consecutive 5-Star “Sustainability Star” Award from TAT Reaffirming its Mission Towards Sustainable Aviation

Bangkok / 9 September 2025 - Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited has once again been recognized with the 5-Star “Sustainability Star” certification from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) under its Sustainable Tourism Acceleration Rating (STAR) initiative. The program is designed to elevate industry standards and encourage tourism operators to embrace sustainability practices, driving Thailand’s ambition to become a “World-Class Quality Destination” with balanced and sustainable growth.

This achievement reflects Bangkok Airways’ unwavering commitment to advancing sustainability across all dimensions—environmental, social, and economic, in alignment with TAT’s Sustainable Tourism Goals (STGs). The airline has proudly maintained this prestigious recognition since 2023, underscoring its consistent leadership in responsible tourism and aviation.

The STAR (Sustainable Tourism Acceleration Rating) program plays a pivotal role in fostering quality tourism within TAT’s strategic framework. It emphasizes “Shape Supply” development grounded in safety and sustainability, to deliver High-Value Services & Standards. The initiative also draws upon the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), encompassing 17 global objectives and reflecting sustainability across four key dimensions: governance, socio-economic, cultural, and environmental.
