Bangkok Airways welcomes its latest ATR 72-600 Aircraft Boosting its Chiang Mai Hub

Bangkok/ 5th April 2019 – Recently, Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited led by AM. Dechit Chareonwong, Vice President of Flight Operations (5th from left) together with Mr.Tongsook Chompoonuch, Vice President - Maintenance (5th from right) and airline’ pilots welcomed its brand-new ATR72-600 aircraft at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

This 70 seats ATR model 72-600 is developed to have a modern flight control system that displays all digital systems. With a spacious, comfortable passenger seat and an overhead luggage compartment that is larger than ever. This new ATR72-600 aircraft will be used to boost its Chiang Mai hub such as Chiang Mai–Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai–Yangon (Myanmar), Chiang Mai–Mandalay (Myanmar), Chiang Mai–Hanoi (Vietnam) and also the newly-launched-route Chiang Mai–Luang Prabang (Laos).

Currently, Bangkok Airways’ fleet consists of 41 aircrafts; 4 ATR72-500s, 12 ATR72-600s, 16 A319s and 9 A320s.
