2023 is the year when Bangkok Airways celebrated the 55th anniversary of its establishment and another year to be proud and honoured for having been voted by passengers worldwide as World Best Regional Airline and Best Regional Airline in Asia, the two prestigious Skytrax awards for the 7th consecutive year, reflecting the commitment of management and employees to enhance and develop its services continuously and eventually being recognized by international aviation industry.
Thailand’s tourism industry has gradually recovered this year, to nearly the same level as before the Covid-19 pandemic and the increasing travel demand is advantageous to tourism and airline business. To meet travelers’ demand and to expand services to cover far-reaching area, the Company opened two new routes-Bangkok

Lampang-Mae Hong Son (and return) and Don Muang-Samui (and return) - utilizing 70-seat ATR72-600 aircraft in addition to increasing flight frequencies on popular routes.
The Company maintained its priority on sustainable operation of business under “Connect Your Happiness” concept, to deliver happiness through travel experience with Bangkok Airways, aiming to participate in driving the Thai economy to achieve sustainable growth, based on responsibilities to take care of the society and the environment under governance principles. The evidences of success can be seen from certificates, awards and honors given by respected institutes, for example the 5-star, Excellent CG Scoring, resulting from corporate governance survey, initiated by the Thai Institute of Directors and supported by the Stock Exchange of Thailand, reflecting the Company’s intention to run the business by consistently adhere to good corporate governance , to ensure sustainable development aligned with good corporate governance under economic, social and governance concept and to expand the business at the same time; the highest level of sustainable award from STAR project given by Tourism Authority of Thailand; included in SET ESG Ratings 2023 at BBB level for companies in Service and Tourism industry and EIA Symposium and Monitoring Award 2023.
The Company continued to implement sustainability policy and put it into practice where possible by conducting a study on sustainable aviation fuel and managing waste materials more efficiently with ultimate goal to conserve natural resources, protect the environment and save the planet.
